In a press statement, Sofia Löfstedt, Head of Design and Creative at H&M Kids, said they were really happy with that year’s back-to-school collection since it provided fashionable and long-lasting clothing that kids could feel at ease and secure wearing.Â
She said that they were conscious of the fact that returning to school after the summer break may be a stressful time for families and they intended to create a simple environment where parents could discover everything in one location, from essentials and useful goods to modern pieces and accessories.
The ages span from one and a half to ten, as well as from ten to fourteen.
Currently going for $40 is a colorfully patterned bag that was influenced by Lakwena’s artwork.
In a quote from the press release, Lakwena said that a big part of her work is to spread happiness and hope in public places. She made it clear that she wanted to enhance rather than degrade people and environments.
For this particular project, Lakwena said she spent a lot of time reflecting about the virtues she wants to inculcate in her three children and future generations in general, focusing on traits like bravery, curiosity, and resilience.
She went on to say that she thinks this colorful and daring H&M collection will be a vehicle for spreading messages of freedom and positivity throughout the world.
In more subdued colors, H&M also sells sturdy school basics like a black quilted rucksack for $35 and a pair of chunky black loafers for $40.
H&M also offers numerous packs of T-shirts and sweatpants if you prefer to buy in quantity.
Customers can spend $30 on five cotton T-shirts in different colors or $33 on a three-pack of joggers.
