Esteé Lauder Companies has formed a partnership with the French fashion house, Balmain to launch “Balmain Beauty” in the fall of 2024.
The beauty line is a combined effort of the conglomerate and fashion house to “develop, produce, and distribute an innovative line of beauty products that will speak to luxury consumers around the world.”
The goal is to revolutionise the industry of couture and luxury beauty using tools like exceptional design, singular craftsmanship, and a commitment to innovate the world of beauty.
Olivier Rousteing, the creative director of Balmain since 2011, explained this collaboration in detail,
“For over 10 years, my Balmain team and I have been pushing the boundaries of what is possible in fashion. We’ve been determined to reflect the way that today’s diverse generation wishes to live and dress.”
He further explained that Balmain wanted to partner with a company that understood the beauty industry in and out and Esteé Lauder seemed like the obvious choice.
They wanted someone who would help them expand into the industry effortlessly and deliver quality products.
Rousteing also added that the Esteé Lauder team, from the very start, shared and supported Balmain’s vision as well as its goal of “disrupting the global luxury beauty paradigm.”
“Knowing that — and knowing that Estée Lauder is the paragon of excellence — well, I can’t wait to start working with them,” he added to his comment.
With this announcement, also came the news, Guillaume Jesel has been appointed as the President of Global Brands, Tom Ford Beauty, and Balmain Beauty. He would also be overseeing the Luxury Business Development aspect of the company.
He expressed his excitement and honour for the new role by calling Balmain and Oliver Rousteing “visionary forces” in the fashion industry and said that he is looking forward to working with Balmain and helping carve a place for the brand in the luxury beauty industry
