Veteran Indian player Cheteshwar Pujara and previous evil habit chief of the Indian Test group, Ajinkya Rahane, have experienced a gigantic money-related blow after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) downgraded the pair in the most recent focal agreements list, PTI revealed.
The BCCI has four classifications – A+, which has yearly compensation of Rs 7 crore, while A, B, and C classifications are esteemed at Rs 5 crore, Rs 3 crore, and Rs 1 crore separately.
Rahane and Pujara were, as of late, dropped from the Indian group for the forthcoming two-Test series against Sri Lanka at home, after reliably terrible showings with the bat in the course of the most recent three years. Pujara’s last Test century was played in 2019, Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) Test in Australia.
Rahane, then again, has scored only one century against Australia in 2021 in Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) Test match. Wriddhiman Saha Demoted from Group B To C
Rahane and Pujara are, by all accounts, not the only ones who got downgraded to the BCCI focal agreements list, according to the PTI report. Manager player Wriddhiman Saha has also been downgraded from Group B to C. Saha was in the news lately for uncovering private talks with Rahul Dravid, the India mentor, and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly.
Dravid and the Indian team supposedly told Saha that he would never again be picked for the Indian Test side. They needed to allow KS Bharat and other youthful attendants to shadow Rishabh Pant, who established his place first-decision guardian for India in quite a while. This was rehashed by BCCI boss selector Chetan Sharma too.
