Bharat Founders Fund (BFF), which has made 20 investments to far, will generally invest $100,000 to $200,000 in different early-stage entrepreneurs and firms at the consideration stage. Maanav Sagar and Sera Arora, Investopad Partners, oversee these funds.
Today, founders and senior executives at a business have amassed riches through successful exits or employee stock options (ESOPs) and are eager to give back and invest in companies. Bringing these founders together as venture partners would enable Bharat Founders Fund to link its portfolio firms with experienced startup operators who have expertise bringing an idea (or business) from zero to one. “We will remain industry neutral,” Sera Arora stated.
Arora further stated that BFFs are unlikely to be appointed to boards of directors in these firms. It will, however, have the authority to designate a director if necessary. The current portfolio of Bharat Founders Fund comprises learning site YellowClass, job portal Skillbee, loan business Basic, and other startups such as D2C brand BlissClub.
“We would like to invest in and join a firm as soon as feasible.” “The aim is to enable these firms have access to the greatest mentorship and engage with a diverse portfolio of our venture partners who have developed successful startups,” Maanav Sagar explained.
“There were many businesses that helped us establish Meesho, and I’m delighted to be able to donate time to give back.” People that are 36-48 months ahead have always been quite helpful since they have just gone through the same issues,” said Vidit Aatrey, co-founder of Meesho.
