Dangers Involved with A Bird Strike On-Air
Recently the issue of birds and other animals found mid-air on airplanes has become a common hearing. This can be partially attributed to the lack of proper maintenance and management.
However, bird strikes with planes are also a common happening nowadays. Other than the potential damage to the aircraft it can also ensure a panic amongst passengers. A lot of significant incidents including plane crashes can be caused as a result of this incident. Fortunately, no such accident has taken place.
Recent Issues Reported by The Officials
On July 16th a flight of Air India Express that was traveling between Calicut to Dubai had to be diverted to Muscat. The diversion to Muscat was necessary due to a burning smell that was detected in the cabin. It was caught by the cabin crew mid-air which led to the landing of the plane in Muscat to prevent any further complications.
Over the last couple of months, the carelessness and frequently rising incidents of airplane carriers like Indigo, Air India, and Spice Jet have caught the attention of the people. It has created a lot of heat on social media as a result of the public outcry over these life-threatening incidents. In the last few weeks Spice Jet has been the one on the radar due to over 8 accidents in the span of 16 days. It received a show cause notice from the DGCA.
