BJP members slammed the “mannerless” behaviour of Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, during the video conferencing of all the Chief Ministers with the Prime Minister regarding rising COVID cases and petrol prices in India.
The members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attacked the Chief Minister of Delhi Kejriwal for misbehaving during the video conference. The video conferencing comprised the meeting between the Chief Ministers of India and the Prime Minister.
Narendra Modi was addressing the rise in COVID cases in the entire nation and the constant increase in fuel prices. PM Modi urged the Chief Ministers to reduce the VAT on fuel prices to ease the burden on the common man.
The indecent behaviour of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal
During the video conference, the Delhi CM was seen lounging very comfortably in his chair. Through his gestures, Arvind Kejriwal seemed relaxed during the meeting. He appeared to be uninterested in what the PM was saying. Kejriwal appeared on camera, putting both of his arms on his head and on the back of the chair. Furthermore, he was simultaneously sliding down the seat while the PM continued addressing the meeting.
The Delhi CM’s gesture was considered inappropriate for any formal meeting. Above all, this was highly unsuitable, especially when the country’s Prime Minister is interacting with you on a crucial topic. It is worth noting that Arvind Kejriwal yawned approximately six times during the entire conference.
Many BJP ministers have now taken to twitter to criticize Kejriwal’s immoral act
Dr. Harsh Vardhan, former Health Minister during the Modi government, slammed Arvind Kejriwal for his immoral behaviour. He stated that Arvind Kejriwal’s indecent behaviour during the virtual meet demonstrates his concern about the health of the people. Where on one hand, PM Modi is trying to make each ends meet to secure the health of the citizens, Arvind Kejriwal seems least bothered.
Additionally, the Chief of BJP Delhi, Adesh Gupta, said, “On one hand, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is expressing his concern towards the countrymen by holding a review meeting regarding the increasing cases of Corona. On the other hand, the indecent behaviour of the Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, in the middle of the meeting shows that he has nothing to do with the country and Delhi.”
Kejriwal had previously violated decorum during a meeting with the Prime Minister.
This is not the first time Arvind Kejriwal has violated the PM’s meeting protocol. Earlier in 2021, he apologized for breaking similar protocol during a video conference with the Prime Minister. During the high COVID cases in India in April ’21, the PM held a similar meeting with all of the CMs to discuss strategies.
Arvind Kejriwal went live during a confidential meeting between the PM and the Chief Ministers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had severely criticized Kejriwal for breaking the protocol of the meeting. He said, “You have broken a very important protocol. Such private conversations are never televised. It is not proper; we should always observe decorum”. Later, Arvind Kejriwal had apologised for his behaviour.
