Counting of votes in five states today, AAP sweeps majority seats in Punjab leaving Congress way behind. BJP is dominating in other four states – Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, and Goa.
Assembly Election Results 2022 for five states has begun with the official trends for 117 seats in Punjab with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leading in 90 seats, Congress in 12 seats, and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in 5 seats brings early celebration for AAP with Bhagwant Mann as CM candidate.
BJP might have failed to win seats in Punjab but it is ahead in Uttar Pradesh with 260+ seats, 42 seats in Uttarakhand, 26 seats in Manipur, and 18 seats in Goa.
The exit polls predicted BJP retaining UP, Manipur, Uttarakhand, and AAP sweeping Punjab. There was a little hope for Congress to win Goa Elections that is now demolished. Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party (SP) fails to win the UP Election.

After defeating Charanjit Singh Channi and Navjot Singh Sidhu, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party has scooped the majority of seats with Bhagwant Mann as Chief Ministerial candidate unseating Channi as the next Chief Minister. 90 seats in the 117-seat assembly, Kejriwal has emerged as a major contender to Congress and wins big outside Delhi.
BJP makes a historic back-to-back win in UP, surges ahead in Manipur, Uttarakhand, and Goa
With 260+ seats of the 403 seats in Uttar Pradesh are a historic win for CM Yogi Adityanath-led the saffron party BJP and retain the power in UP. The victory of BJP comes when the state has not returned a government to power since 1985. Akhilesh Yadav’s SP was in alliance with the Rashtriya Lok Dal remain defeated with 121 seats.
BJP was in a tight contest with its old rival Congress, retaining the power in Uttarakhand with 44 seats. With the state of a hung assembly in the Goa election, BJP has taken a lead in the state as Congress trails and it is likely to a massive lead in Manipur led by the alliance.
