Bhartiya Janata Party took action against two of its office bearers. Navin Kumar Jindal who is the head of the media cell of the Delhi unit was expelled by the party on Sunday. Along with him, BJP’s spokesperson Nupur Sharma was also suspended for her controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad. Many FIRs have been filled in Maharashtra against Nupur Sharma and a huge protest was carried out at Kanpur on the 3rd of June.

Nupur Sharma is one of the prime spokespeople of the Bhartiya Janta Party for a long time now and has been seen putting her statements for many important events in various shows. But her recent controversial statement against Prophet Mohammad has left people furious.
People from various countries like Arabia, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, and Iran have shown widespread anger for her making a controversial statement on Prophet Mohammad and hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims worldwide.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif tweeted saying that the Muslims are being targeted and the UN should step into this and take necessary actions for the Muslims who are being targeted in India. VP Naidu’s lunch with the Qatar deputy emir Abdullah bin Ahmed al Thani was also called off. A “boycott India” campaign was trending on social media as VP Naidu came for a four-day visit to Doha.

The Bhartiya Janata Party general secretary Arun Sharma in a press conference said that the party denounces any kind of religious insult. They are totally against the ideology that demeans any sect or religion.
BJP’s spokesperson Nupur Sharma was suspended for her act and she exclaimed that it was not her intention to hurt anyone’s religious feelings and that she unconditionally withdraws her statement.
