The making of Bollywood movies is usually exciting, and it all depends on the country in which the film was shot. Several countries worldwide have been featured in Bollywood films, but several have also been shot in that country, which the TALIBAN administration now governs.
Yes, Bollywood films shot in Afghanistan may be forgotten, yet there are some magnificent films. During ongoing productions, actors witnessed Taliban threats.
Khuda Gawah: – One of the most unusual facts is that the most popular Indian film, “Khuda Gawah,” was shot in Afghanistan in 1992.
The Taliban currently rule it. As you may be aware, the film’s primary actors were Bollywood’s Shanshah Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi.
Sridevi was the sole Icon in Khuda Gawah, the last EPIC Indian film shot in Afghanistan.
Kabul Express: – Another film shot in Kabul was Kabul Express, directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra. In 2006, the film was released.
The most shocking aspect is that, despite security, the Taliban have created rucks and threatened to blow up their entire team with a bomb during the ongoing firing.
The cast and crew members heard some of the open firings on air. In an interview, Actor Arshad Warsi revealed that he, too, was astonished by the number of weapons in Kabul.
‘Dharmatma’:- While recalling the shoot of ‘Dharmatma’, Hema Malini Called Afghanistan “once peaceful nation”. Hema Malini shows concern over the ongoing turmoil in Afghanistan and places the shooting 1975 film ‘Dharmatma’ in the country.
The film was featured by Feroz Khan, Hema Malini, Rekha, and Premnath’s. On Twitter, the Dharmatma actress talked about her memories and said that her great memories of Afghanistan date back to ‘Dharmatma’.
“I play a gipsy girl & my portion was shot entirely there. Had a great time as my parents were with me and Feroz Khan took good care of us,” she added.
Janasheen: – A romantic suspense Janasheen was shot in Afghanistan in part. Feroz Khan’s son Fardeen Khan and Celina Jaitly star in the film, directed by the late Feroz Khan.
Torbaaz:- The film starred Sanjay Dutt, Nargis Fakhri, and Rahul Dev.
The film is based on an Afghanistan refugee camp, and an ex-army doctor seeks to bring children joy through cricket and soon realizes that the stakes go beyond the sport.
None of the films depicts the current situation in Afghanistan, where folks are concerned and tense.
However, these films demonstrate that Afghanistan was not in this state previously. Previous films were made when the Taliban did not rule the nation.
The biggest concern now is whether Bollywood will ever be able to shoot a film in Afghanistan.
