Bollywood has been going through a difficult phase because of the boycott trend. Movies like Laal Singh Chaddha, Shamshera, Raksha Bandhan, Liger, etc. have done miserably at the box office. The movie Brahmastra is a movie that came under the boycott trend. As the film talks about a sensitive topic like religion, people were bringing in the religious angle. People who already wanted the film to be boycotted were already criticizing the film for whatever it is. Brahmastra has been much awaited by the fans as well as the actors and director Ayan Mukerji. It is also said that the film took 11 years in making (including the thought of making this film and starting filming it). Brahmastra was released on September 9th, 2022 across India and in foreign nations as well. What made the Brahmastra more awaited was the song Kesariya, also known as the love anthem of the year.
Talking about the film talks about Shiva, played by Ranbir Kapoor, and Isha, played by Alia Bhatt, and their quest to save their master, who is preserved by the ancient organization called the Brahmans. Many opponents want to destroy the weapon. A guru (Amitabh Bachchan) is there to guide the good. Other divine Astras are also present in the movie, whereas some are seen as unexpected cameos.
More about VFX in Bhramastra
The VFX and camera angle of the movie is beyond imagination. The main negative point of the movie is that it shows the love angle of Isha and Shiva. The ending given to the movie was abrupt, which is why the rating is still fluctuating. As the focus was more on the VFX and the romantic scenes, the storyline can be seen going a bit up and down.
The run time of the movie is reduced to not stretch it to an emotional impact. As it is the first film of the Astra saga, there is a lot to see in the upcoming sequels and parts of the movie.
Hadn’t the focus been more on the romantic side and the VFX side, the storyline could have been improved and the focus would have been on the Astra.
Brahmastra is a treat to the eyes. There are a lot of efforts made by the director, Ayan Mukerji. It deserves to be seen in the theatre. Brahmastra manages to collect 10 crores on the first day across India. Brahmastra was released on the 9th of September 2022. One can watch the film in theatres and enjoy the treat to the eyes.
