A bus accident sprang on Tuesday as a Bus fell into a 500-meter gorge in Pauri Garhwal district in Uttarakhand.
UTTARAKHAND: On Tuesday, A bus coming from Haridwar’s Lal Dhang Area with a wedding party of 40 people fell into a 500-meter gorge on Rikhnikhal-Birokhal road in Pauri Garhwal district.

A wedding party left The Lal Dhang Area in Haridwar on the Bus that sprang into an accident as, Haridwar SP Swatantra Kumar Singh said, “Information given by Family members is being used to find the bodies and help in the operation. A rescue operation was started by SDRF overnight and is still underway by Pauri Police.”
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami informed the State Disaster management center to keep seeing the situation. “The SDRF State Disaster Response Force is deployed for the accident spot. We are trying our best to take control of the situation and all the facilities for the accident are being provided. Locals are also lending a hand to control the situation in the late-night rescue operation.”
President Draupadi Murmu also tweeted that she is aggrieved by the deaths in the accident and hopes for the fast recovery of those who were injured.
Prime minister Narendra Modi’s office called the accident “heart-breaking” and promised to supply all to help.
Prime Minister Modi’s Office later tweeted, “The Bus accident in Pauri, Uttarakhand is truly heart-breaking. In this tragic hour, my thoughts are grieving. I do hope that those who have been injured recover at the earliest and all help will be supplied for those affected in the incident.”
Pauri Bus accident: Police and SRDF Rescue operation
Uttarakhand police said, “The incident came on the day when a group of trainee mountaineers was struck by an avalanche. At least four deaths have been reported so far.”
Uttarakhand police also said in a tweet that, “So, far more than 20 people have been rescued and admitted in hospital by SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) during the rescue operation of a bus accident. Some of whom are Severely injured and 25 are found deceased.”
DGP Ashok Kumar also confirmed that “25 people found dead in Pauri Garhwal bus accident that took place last night in Birokhal area of Dhumakot.” Four SDRF teams were deployed to the site of the accident for coordinating the rescue mission.
