The Modern Warfare 2 beta run by Infinity Ward just ended, and man, did the players enjoy themselves.This beta has been the biggest for the franchise in terms of the number of players who have signed up and played a significant number of hours. Now that the free-to-play period has ended, Activision and Infinity Ward are getting ready for the game’s final, full release on October 28, 2022.
In a recent blog post, Infinity Ward detailed every change that will be made to the game in its final form.In the same blog post, the developers also thanked the players who participated in the beta over the past two weeks, discovered bugs and issues, and helped the game develop overall.
The following is a list of all the changes that have been made to Modern Warfare 2 since the Beta:
Footstep Audio
Footstep audio comes first because the developers realized that players enjoyed it more in the second week of the beta.Prior to launch, they will continue to balance enemy and friendly footstep audio after taking into account volume feedback.
Enemy Visibility
During the Beta, this was yet another feature that received a lot of attention.In the second week, they received better feedback and were able to improve it.In order to improve the players’ visibility and tracking, they will keep tweaking it.
Disbanding Lobbies
During the Beta, they addressed this issue, and for the launch, the developers will actively seek potential solutions.
Weapons
This is without a doubt the central theme of the entire game and everyone’s favorite subject.All of the weapon tuning adjustments made during the beta are well received by the developers.Upon launch, they will make additional adjustments to the weapon’s performance.
Third Person Playlist
The feedback regarding the camera shoulder swapping has been taken into consideration by the developers, who will continue to refine the mode prior to its launch.
Game Modes
The developers were able to fix bugs in Ground War and Invasion thanks to fans, and they have also improved the AI navigation in Invasion.
