Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia’s house is being raided by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over liquor policy. The minister says he’ll co-operate but “nothing will come out of it.”
On Friday, The Central Bureau of Investigation of India(CBI) raids Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s residence along with 21 other locations across 7 states.
All of this was regarding the probe agency filing an FIR and investigating Delhi’s Excise policy of liquor which was launched in November last year. Under the policy, licenses to liquor shops were given to private players to avoid corruption in government liquor outlets. The Excise department was under Manish Sisodia.
The Minister, even though, was caught off guard by this “welcomed” the investigators and cooperated saying nothing will come out of this.
” My work for a good education in the country cannot be stopped,” said the Deputy Chief Minister.

The raid was carried out on the same day when Delhi’s Education functionality was praised by the New York Times on the front page. This further aggravated the accusations against the government.
