On the occasion of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary, the makers of his biopic “Main Atal Hoon” released the first look of actor Pankaj Tripathi as the former Prime Minister. The film, directed by National Award-winner Ravi Jadhav and written by Utkarsh Naithani, is set to release in December 2024 and will feature music by Salim-Sulaiman and lyrics by Sameer, with vocals by Sonu Nigam. The motion video announcement for the film was presented by Bhanushali Studios Limited and Legend Studios and produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Sandeep Singh, Sam Khan, and Kamlesh Bhanushali, with co-production by Zeeshan Ahmad and Shivv Sharma. Tripathi’s colleagues and fans praised the actor’s portrayal of Vajpayee in the video, expressing excitement for the film.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee: A Political Leader and Advocate for Economic Development and Social Justice
Atal Bihari Bajpayee was a Indian politician who served as the Prime Minister of India from 1998 to 2004. He was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was the first non-Congress Prime Minister to serve a full five-year term.
Bajpayee was born on December 25, 1924, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. He received his early education in Gwalior and later studied political science at Victoria College (now Laxmi Bai College) in Gwalior and DAV College in Kanpur. He became involved in politics at a young age and was a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right-wing Hindu nationalist organization, from an early age.
Bajpayee entered national politics in the 1950s and was elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of India’s parliament, in 1957. He served as the Minister of External Affairs in the Janata Party government in 1977 and was later elected as the President of the BJP in 1986. He became the Prime Minister of India in 1996, but his government lasted only 13 days. He later served as the Prime Minister of India again from 1998 to 2004.
Bajpayee was known for his efforts to improve relations with Pakistan and his efforts to promote economic development in India. He was also a strong advocate for the rights of the marginalized and disadvantaged communities in India. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor, in 2015. Bajpayee passed away on August 16, 2018, at the age of 93.
