Amid growing tensions between the two countries, Russian actress Irina Staschenbaum protested the situation. She expressed her profound “apology” to the people of Ukraine, as Irina pointed out that it would only bring war and suffering.
The actress shared a black post on her own Instagram account, saying,
“How did we get to this point? Why do we remember the 9th of May every day how much pain and loss the war has brought us? Does it? I don’t want to believe it. We didn’t choose it.”
“There is nothing to justify war, and there are no words to describe the pain and horror of this morning,” he added.
