According to the Times of India, the accused, known as Raj, apparently resides in the same neighbourhood near the school. Raj was detained by police on Monday, July 11. The victim’s parents were informed of the incident after she complained of stomach troubles. The little girl started making up reasons to miss school for a week, even after we took her to the doctor.
Her parents attempted to send her to school on Monday, July 11, but she refused and sobbed. She kept her parents in the dark about why she didn’t want to attend school. She simply continued sobbing and informed her parents that she was afraid to go, according to a police officer who looked into the incident. The victim’s parents persisted in convincing the child to explain why she didn’t want to attend school, assuming that she was afraid of the homework.
The five-year-old child eventually told her mother about the sexual assault after some time had passed. “Eight days prior, she experienced an improper touch from the peon when using the restroom. She was terrified that it might occur once more, the officer stated.Â
The mother of the youngster was shocked to hear this and immediately went to the school administration and police with a complaint. Raj, the alleged offender, was taken into custody after a complaint was filed under Section 8 of the POCSO Act. On Tuesday, he was placed in judicial custody again.
Additionally, the victim’s parents claim that the school administration disregarded their complaint. They further said that administrators at the institution were initially hesitant to take any action against the accused. According to police authorities, a thorough investigation will be carried out to see whether the accused sexually assaulted any other schoolgirls.
