Coimbatore has been a textile hub for India after the British rule. There are many mills in there and because of that railway connectivity has improved significantly in the city.
TCS has already set up its office in the city, and although it’s a small office, many other companies have plans for offices in the near future as well.
Companies like Infosys and IBM have announced some strategies to open offices in tier-2 cities. At the top of the list is Coimbatore for these companies.
Tech Mahindra has already opened its office in the city and promoted its drive for growth and has been planning to explore lower-tier cities.
Tech Mahindra’s chief people officer, Harshvendra Soin, has said that the offices in lower-tier cities will focus on developing the city further with the development of new technology.
