India won three medals on Day 4 in the commonwealth games 2022. One silver and one bronze in Judo and another bronze in Weightlifting.Â
India’s contingent is performing well in the commonwealth games. On day 4, team India bagged three medals in their kitty, one silver and two bronze. In women’s 48kg judo, Sushila Devi Likmabam took home the silver medal. In the Men’s 60kg Judo competition, Vijay Kumar also took home a medal. Women’s 71kg weightlifter Harjinder Kaur won the bronze medal.
Moreover, Indian shuttlers defeated Singapore 3-0 to advance to the mixed team event final. They will now compete against Malaysia at the summit. Finally, the paddlers defeated Nigeria 3-0 to go to the men’s final, where they will face Singapore for the gold medal. While the Indian Lawn Bowls team created history as they entered their first-ever final.Â
On day 5, India can win up to 3 gold medals if all these above teams win their respective finals. However, at least three silver medals are assured for the Indian side whether they lose their match.

India’s medal tally now stands at nine medals, three gold, three silver and three bronze. Currently, India is placed at number six on the medal table. However, Indian athletes will look forward to improving this stat and pushing India n the top three. In the last term, India was number three on the points table with sixty-six medals, of which twenty-six gold, twenty silver and twenty bronze.Â
