Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first goal this season as Manchester United got their Europa League Campaign in the groove again.
Cristiano Ronaldo had gone seven games without a goal this term before the Manchester United striker changed over a first-half penalty against the opponents.
Manchester United started to lead on Thursday with a very much worked move in the 17th minute. After a slick trade of passes, Christian Eriksen found Sancho, who made space nearby to have a chance past Sheriff goalkeeper Maksym Koval.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal for Manchester United
After Jadon Sancho’s opener, Ronaldo multiplied Utd’s lead in Moldova from the penalty spot in the first half.
Ronaldo scored his most memorable goal of the season as Manchester Utd crushed Sheriff Tiraspol 2-0 in the Europa Association.
This was Ronaldo’s 699th goal of his club career.
This was the sort of unglamorous installation Ronaldo appeared to be desperate to stay away from; when he sent off his fruitless bid quit Old Trafford for a Champions League club in the Summer.
The 37-year-old was accounted for to have been searching for a move to create some distance from ManUtd over the late spring, such was his longing to play in the Champions League, and was missing during the preseason.
However, the Portugal star will be feeling much better to hit the scoresheet again, after Jadon Sancho put United ahead with an all-around planned reaction on the day he was left out of the England crew.
Due to some ‘family reasons’, Ronaldo missed Manchester United’s pre-season tour and, while Ten Hag was satisfied with his commitment against Sheriff, he expresses that he needs more effort to arrive at top wellness.
On the talk of Ronaldo, the boss of Man Utd Ten Hag expressed,
“We could expect this when you miss pre-season so he has to work hard and invest to get the right fitness then he will score more goals”
He further adds that they are happy for him (Ronaldo) and the club wanted Ronaldo to bring the goal.
