Cyclone Asani is advancing with increasing force in the chest of the sea. Asani’s speed has increased in the Bay of Bengal. It is moving at a speed of 14 km to the northwest. According to the Alipore Meteorological Department, the cyclone will accelerate towards Andhra Pradesh and Orissa as time goes on. Then the sea will turn in the opposite direction, that is why Bengal in the face of thunder signal.

The cyclone Asani is currently located at a distance of 500 km from Andaman. And Ashani is 610 kilometers away from Visakhapatnam. Location about 60 km south-east of Puri. As the southeast is coming north-west from the Bay of Bengal, it is becoming a severe cyclone. At present, its location is in the area adjacent to the East-Central Bay of Bengal.

According to the meteorological department, the cyclone ‘Asani’ created in the south-east Bay of Bengal has been moving at a speed of 14 km per hour for the last 8 hours. It is located at 12.2 north latitude and 6.2 east longitude over the south-eastern and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal.
An alert has been sounded in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha & West Bengal.
*Light to moderate rains are likely in many places in coastal Orissa from Tuesday evening and heavy rains (7-11 cm) are likely in one or two places in Gazpati, Ganjam, and Puri districts, the meteorological center added.
