Delhi University has started the UG admissions for sessions 2021- 2022. The first cut off list of the UG admission had released on October 1.
Most college staff and principals have informed that the cutoff list will be so high this year as many students scored above 90% or 95% in the CBSE board exams session 2020.
About 2.87 lac students have applied for the DU UG courses this year. However, due to Fee and Accessibility reasons, this application number is lower than the previous year.
Among 2.87 lac applications, about 2.29 lacs, applications are from CBSE affiliated schools majorly, and the remaining are from several state boards.
The undergraduate admissions process begins on October 4
As the application process has been completed and the admission process has already started, DU released guidelines for the admission process to help students clear any kind of confusion regarding admissions.
DU UG Admissions guidelines:
⦁ Candidates must recheck their eligibility criteria and marks before applying for admission.
⦁ During applying for the cutoff, candidates must check that their best of four or three falls under the cutoff after deduction of percentage for stream change also, if any.
⦁ Suppose a candidate fails to apply for the first and second cutoff, even if their marks fall into them. Then they will get another chance in the unique cutoff round.
⦁ The candidate is only allowed to choose one program and one college during a particular ambition down. They are not allowed to change their schedule or college during a cutoff round in any case.
⦁ For applying to DU admissions, candidates need to log into their dashboards to choose courses and the respective college of their choice.
⦁ After receiving the applications, colleges will verify the applications and uploaded documents for further approval or decline of candidature or application.
⦁ If candidates miss any document to submit, the respective college will contact them via email or phone to submit the missing documents.
⦁ Applicants whose applications will be approved will have to pay the fee for the program within the given deadline.
⦁ After taking the admission, students will have to sign on and the declaration that they will accept the consultative decision if the information is found wrong and their mission will be cancelled.
⦁ After admission, the college will be verifying the uploaded documents physically. If any information given by the student is found wrong, the mission will be cancelled without any notice, and no fee refund will be provided in such cases.
Cutoff process and dates
DU has announced that there will be five cut off lists and a special DU cut off this year.
⦁ The first cut off of DU UG admissions was released on October 1, and with this, the admission process has started.
⦁ 2nd cut off will be released on October 9. Admissions will take place for the 2nd cut off between 11 to October 13.
⦁ 3rd on October 16, Admissions will take place for the 3rd cut off between October 18 and 21.
⦁ There will be a special cut off releasing on October 25, and admission will take place for that between October 26 to October 27.
⦁ 4th on October 30, Admissions will take place for the 4th cut off between November 1 to November 2.
⦁ 5th on November 8. Admissions will take place for the 5th cut off between November 14 to November 15.
Colleges are still closed and only open for science practical and essential work. Theory classes are still going online, and there is no offline mode for theoretical subjects.
