Delhi Police Revelations
On Thursday night around 8:30 PM, the police received a call from BLK-Max Super Specialty
Hospital about a boy being brought dead with strangulation marks on his neck. Special
Commissioner of Police Ravindra Singh Yadav said that over 300 CCTV camera footage were
checked. Upon investigating further into the matter, the police with the help of a CCTV footage
found that Pooja was the last person who visited Divyansh’s house before his death. Officials
revealed that the accused strangled the child to death in his sleep and hid his body inside a bed
box.
According to reports, Pooja married Jitender in an Arya Samaj Mandir on October 17, 2019. As
Jitender assured Pooja of getting married in a Court after divorcing his wife, they both started
living together in a rented house. However, they often found themselves arguing over Jitender
divorcing his wife which broke into rift between the two. Since then Jitender moved out of his
rented house last December and started living with his wife according to the police. Assuming
that Jitender left her over his son, she decided to take revenge by strangling the 11 year old.
According to the police, Pooja found the opportunity to execute her plan upon seeing the door to
Jitender’s house open on reaching JJ colony, Inderpuri. After strangling the child to death, she
stuffed the body into a bed box after removing the clothes stuffed into it and fled the spot of
crime after locking the door from outside. A case has been registered by the Police at Inderpuri
Police Station of New Delhi under Indian Penal Code ( IPC) Section 302 prescribing the
punishment for murder.
