In spite of the Covid-19 crisis, Maruti Suzuki has recorded its highest sales till now.
The annual sales reports released by Maruti Suzuki in a recent press conference states that in April-December 21-22, they recorded their highest exports of 2 million.
Maruti Suzuki ships more than 2 billion Indian made vehicles abroad. This number is shocking due to two frequent Covid-19 waves and the shortage of semiconductors.
Figures posted in December 2021 were 1,53,149 units is of total sale. The company provided itself around six months of long waiting period to manufacture. The manufacturer stated that regardless of the scarcity of electric components, the company had an inconsiderable influence in sales and production. To cut down further consequences, manufacturing had taken role changing initiatives.
Maruti Suzuki as a brand
In 1987, the company started exports by a shipment to Hungary, now after years of struggle company has a great brand value. In years the company has made solid overseas contacts, hence now it exports automobiles in more than a hundred countries.
Reminiscing the company’s first batch of Maruti vehicles, the company has sent over 21.85 lakh units this year. The total actual figure of exporting sales is 2,05,450 in 2021. The primary export recipients of Maruti automobiles are India’s neighboring countries, other than these African, Middle Eastern, American, Asian countries.

He further stated on the company’s success that “This milestone reflects consumers’ confidence around the world in the quality, technology, reliability, performance and cost-effectiveness of products”. Later he thanked Suzuki motor corporation and their distributors’ overseas markets for their reach and support.
The local consumer’s first choice
The company claims to be selling more than lakhs of automobiles per month. In the international and domestic market, Maruti Suzuki has a great hold. Challenging the pandemic, company growth reached new heights. Baleno, Dzire, Swift, Alto and Vitara Breeza- are the majority exporting automobile vehicles. However, Vitara Breeza is a hot seller due to its compact SUV design. It is one of the bestselling compact SUVs and the ninth bestselling model in India in December 2021. The company registered 9,531-unit sales last month in the domestic market.
Even after the scarcity in the supply of semiconductors, 8 out of 10 cars sold in India is of Maruti Suzuki. Here are the top three cars of Maruti Suzuki that were in enormous demand in 2021, Wagon R, Swift and Baleno.
Wagon R, the tall boy car, is one the bestselling of last month. There is significant growth from 17,684 sales in December 2020 to 19,728 in December 2021, and the registering change per cent is 12%. Looking for the second bestselling vehicle, then it’s Swift.
Maruti Suzuki Swift comes with the most stylish look. As per the media, reports the company claims to witness some new improvements in semiconductors and mechanisms. Even though it’s the second bestselling car of India, the sale declined compared to 2020 to 2021. The registered sale of December 2021 is 15,661, whereas the sale of December 2020 recorded sale was 18,131 units. The improvement claim by the company may boost the sale of vehicles. The deal for Maruti’s Baleno dropped by 20 per cent in December 2021.
New products will increase the shares of the company. This year the manufacturer of Swift and Baleno will be launching more than half a dozen products. Surprisingly half of these will be fast selling SUVs.
