Real estate giant DLF has made headlines once again with the sale of 1,137 flats in Gurugram in just three days, raking in over Rs 8,000 crore. This impressive feat comes as a significant boost to the company, which had seen a slump in sales due to the ongoing pandemic.
The flats, located in DLF’s luxurious residential projects in Sector 63- Gurugram, were sold through a digital platform that allowed customers to explore the properties virtually and make bookings online. The response to this virtual sales model was overwhelming, with the company receiving an unprecedented number of bookings.
For its opulent high-rise residential property, The Arbour, DLF has reported pre-formal launch sales of more than Rs 8,000 crore.
Even before it officially launched, The Arbour, which represents DLF’s entry into the Golf Course Extension mini market, had already sold out completely. The exclusive neighbourhood, which spans 25 acres, has five towers with a combined height of 38–39 floors. With pricing starting at Rs 7 crores, it has 1137 comparable, well-appointed, roomy, and elegant 4 BHK + study + utility room plans.
The Arbour has had an amazing reaction, according to Aakash Ohri, Group Executive Director and Chief Business Officer , with numerous discriminating homeowners from India and outside expressing interest in the project.
He thinks that this response supports DLF’s incredibly aspirational lifestyle and that The Arbour might become a new standard in the market for luxury real estate.
The company had stated in January that it will begin construction on this project with an estimated sales income of about Rs 7,500 crore. Ohri stated that there was a high demand for real estate at all price points, particularly for products offered by reputable developers.
In terms of market capitalization, DLF, the largest real estate company in the nation, saw a surge in sales bookings of 45% to Rs 6,599 crore from April through December of the current fiscal year.
The company has started work on residential projects in Chennai, Delhi, Gurugram, and Panchkula this fiscal year. The two parts of DLF are development and rental enterprises.
They have constructed more than 153 residential and commercial projects totaling more than 330 million square feet. The aggregate development potential of the DLF Group’s residential and commercial components is 215 million square feet.
The selling of these apartments has also helped their finances, which had been hurt by the pandemic-caused slump in the economy. The real estate sector slowdown was the main reason for the company’s net loss of Rs 1,857.76 crore in the fiscal year 2020–21. The corporation will be able to strengthen its finances and pay down debt thanks to the sale of these apartments.
