On Friday, the Department of Justice revealed heavily redacted documents related to the documents seized from former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago.
The documents were blackened extensively to protect witnesses, law enforcement officials, and the integrity of the investigation.
According to the affidavit released by the FBI on Friday, out of 15 boxes, 14 of them contained classified documents. In addition, most of the documents were top secret and jumbled up with magazines, newspapers, and personal correspondence. Note, the details revealed by the FBI are from documents seized earlier this year in January.

Neither Donald Trump nor any space in his Mar-a-Lago estate was authorized to store classified materials.
The court papers laid out the FBI’s rationale to search the property in August, stating “probable cause to
believe that evidence of obstruction will be found.
” Furthermore, the affidavit offers a detailed description of government records Trump stored at Mar-a-Lago
estate after he left the White House.
It goes on to reveal the intensity of the government’s concern for the documents that were there illegally.
On the first page of the affidavit, an FBI agent wrote, “the government is conducting a criminal investigation concerning improper removal and storage of classified information in unauthorized spaces, as well s the unlawful concealment or removal of government records.”
Despite the clear evidence revealed by the FBI and the Department of Justice, former President Donald
Trump insists that he cooperated with government officials.
On Friday, Trump went on to social media to state he and his representative had a close relationship with the
FBI and “GAVE THEM MUCH.”
The released affidavit consists of details of 15 boxes recovered by the National Archives in January.
