Amid the ongoing controversy around Nupur Sharma’s remark on Prophet Mohammed, Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilder’s extended his support to former BJP member and slammed the Arab and Islamic countries.
Wilders is the Chairman of the Party for Freedom, and A member of the House of Representatives in Netherlands.
Wilders, the chairman of the Party for Freedom and a member of the House of Representatives in the Netherlands, on Tuesday said that Sharma only spoke the truth about Mohammad. He says, “It is ridiculous that Arab and Islamic countries are angered by Indian politician #Nupur Sharma for speaking the truth about # Prophet Mohammad who indeed married Aisha when she was six years old and consummated the marriage when she was nine. “Why does India apogize?”he tweeted.
Geert says that Islamic nations have no democracy and they “persecute minorities and disrespect human rights like No one else.” He added that “the ideology of Prophet Mohammad is offensive and abusive.”
“Don’t listen to the hypocrites, Islamic nations have no democracy, no rule of law, and no freedom.They persecute minorities and disrespect human rights like no one else. They should be criticized! The ideology of #Mohammed is offensive and abusive, not the heroic #Nupur Sharma,” the Dutch parliamentarian said in a tweet.
Geert Wilders said on Twitter that he received death threats from Muslims who want to kill him for”supporting Nupur Sharma”, who spoke “nothing but the truth about Prophet Mohammad and his wife Aisha.”
India has been facing massive backlash from numerous West Asian nations including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran and Qatar over Sharma”s comments.
Wilder’s however has remained dauntless in his support for Sharma despite the threat. The Dutch lawmaker wrote on Twitter that one must never “give in to Islamic Terrorists like Al Queda since they represent barbarism” the tweet added.
Appeasement never works, says Geert:
Geert Wilders said ” Appeasment never works. It will only make things worse. So my dear friends from India, don’t be intimidated by Islamic countries. Stand up for freedom and be proud and steadfast in defending your politician Nupur Sharma who spoke the truth about Mohammad,” another tweet by Wilders read.
