Dwayne Bravo, West Indies all-rounder, marks an achievement in the Caribbean Premier League finals, the second cricketer to play 500 T20 matches following Kieron Pollard.
Dwayne Bravo, also known as the Dj Bravo, accomplished the milestone during the final of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) on Wednesday. The 37-year-old is the captain of Nevis Patriots and St Kitts in the CPL.
Dwayne Bravo will move to Dubai after the CPL final to play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL), commencing from September 19. CSK will play against defending five times champions Mumbai Indians on September 19.
Bravo is also an intrinsic part of West Indies’ power-packed T20 side, looking to win their third T20 World Cup later this year. West Indies, who are in Group 1, including Australia and South Africa, take on England in their tournament’s opening match on October 23 in Dubai.

The West Indies all-rounder, Bravo, started his career in T20 debut in 2006, and since then, he has gone on to play for multiple teams and franchises globally.
The player last played a Test match in 2010 and hasn’t played an ODI since 2017, pinpoints his importance in the game’s shortest format.

Until the CPL final on September 14, Bravo scored 6566 runs at an average of 23.87 and a strike rate of 126.90. Moreover, he has taken 540 wickets at an average of 24.42 and an economy rate of 8.21.
His highest innings score is 70 not-out, 5/23 being his best figures in a match. Meanwhile, Kieron Pollard tops the list scoring an astonishing 11,159 runs and 298 wickets in 561 matches. Chris Gayle stands third with a score of 14,261 runs in 445 matches and 82 wickets.
Bravo will fly to the UAE for IPL 14 to play against MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the CPL final. Bravo, so far, has played 144 matches, scoring 1510 runs and grabbing 156 wickets.
