Punjab election exit polls have shown AAP is supposedly winning in the election with Congress securing the second position.
With the Punjab election results just around the corner, the exit polls have been published which made all the speculations clear.
According to the most recent report published by ETG Research, the Aam Aadmi Party would win 70-75 seats in the 117-seat parliament. According to a poll conducted by India Today, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s party will win between 76 and 90 seats.
The Aam Aadmi Party, or AAP, is expected to win 56-61 seats, according to a NewsX-Polstrat poll, while Mr Kejriwal’s party is expected to win 62-70 seats, according to Republic TV.
Different exit polls indicate different results in terms of seats gained by parties, but it is clearly established that rumors and speculations regarding the AAP winning in the elections might probably be true.
If the AAP wins power in Punjab, it will mark a significant shift since, unlike Delhi, which is a Union Territory, Mr Kejriwal’s party will be in charge of a full state. In this regard, Congress leader Sunil Jakhar had dismissed all claims by saying,
“Let’s just wait for three more days as the situation will be clear on March 10,”.
Congress is yet in denial that the exit poll projections show that it might come a distant second next to Aam Aadmi Party’s massive win. Further details are still awaited.
