On 13th October 2021, Singh was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi to evaluate fever. Former Prime Minister Singh, 89, was admitted to the AIIMS on Wednesday after suffering from fever for two consecutive days and experiencing feelings of weariness.
According to the Congress party report, he was admitted to the hospital to receive better medication and a speedy recovery.

Also, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited the former Prime Minister at AIIMS, Delhi, and wished him a speedy recovery. He also met with his wife and enquired about his comeback with the doctors.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had visited the former Prime Minister and had enquired about his health and wished for a recovery.
In a tweet he said, He met former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at AIIMS, New Delhi, and enquired about his health.
“Singh’s condition is stable,” a doctor on duty at the hospital stated.
Manmohan Singh was admitted at the AIIMS on Wednesday and is under observation by a team of cardiologists led by Dr.Nitish Naik.
He had a fever but had recovered; however, he turned weak and was on fluids.

On Wednesday, Pranav Jha, All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary, said, “There are some unsubstantiated rumors about former Prime Minister, Dr.Manmohan Singh Ji’s health. His condition is good, and he is undergoing routine treatment. We will share any updates as needed. We thank our friends in media for their concerns”.
