Goa The Department of Education (DoE) released a new circular on Friday, allowing pre-schools to invite students physically to institute premises beginning Monday. On Thursday, a circular was published permitting students in grades I through XII to participate in offline sessions starting Monday.
Goa, When schools reopen for students, Director Bhushan Savaikar also stated that uniforms should not be required.
“As educational institutions under this directorate are allowed to open with effect from February 21, heads of all government, government-aided, primary, secondary, higher secondary, and special schools, including pre-primary schools, are hereby directed to follow suggestions for smooth functioning of the schools by strictly following all health protocols and SOPs.
He confirmed Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s decision the day before that schools will now exclusively conduct exams in offline mode.Â
“If necessary, students may be given time allowances during the first few days. Exams will be conducted only in an offline format. In the circular, Savaikar states that “school uniform may not be imposed upon.”
Some parents have complained about having to sew a uniform at the conclusion of the school year for only a few days. This is particularly problematic for pupils who will be transferring from elementary to secondary school in the coming academic year.Â
