A former Google employee from GDS claims that it is run by a religious cult. Kevin Lloyd, a contractual video producer in GDS mentions that the Fellowship of Friends run the day to day operations and work environment. This cult has 12 members.
Lloyd has filed a lawsuit against Google and the contracting firm ASG seeking for damages for wrongful termination, retaliation and neglect to safeguard him against discrimination. In the case file, he states that he lost his job for calling out the group’s behavior. Another allegation in the lawsuit was that Google financed a state-of-art sound system installed in the Oregon House of a fellowship member who was a sound designer.
The business unit of Google, Google Development Unit comes under Peter Lubbers who incidentally is a long time member of Fellowship, the tech giant has no response.
Fellowship of Friends in google
Fellowship of Friends is a religious sect that believes that adopting fine arts and culture can let one achieve higher consiousness . They owns 1200 acres called Apollo spanning compound in Oregon House, California. The report says that the cult holds roles in Google’s events, registration desks, taking pictures, playing music as well as serving wine.

The fellowship describes itself as an organization available to anyone who wants to follow the spiritual way of awakening. They have 1,500 members across the world, with around 500 to 600 in their compound in Oregon House. The members give 10 percent of their monthly earnings to the cult.
