Minister of state for skill development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology of India Rajeev Chandrasekhar spoke during the inaugural speech about the post-pandemic period and the new and exciting opportunities following.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar attended the inaugural session of the International Conference and Exhibition on Digital technologies, namely Future Tech 2021, hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) virtually. The event is to be held from October 19-27, 2021.
It will focus on the five theme pillars: Strategy, Growth, Resilience, Inclusiveness and Trust, revolving around the motto of building driving technologies for a better future on which we can all trust.Â
The international conference will be a platform for interaction amongst industry leaders, government officials and entrepreneurs who shall discuss the future of digital technologies.
A detailed plan of Government for India’s Tech future
The state minister for electronics and Information technology of India described the post-pandemic period as the most exciting time for the people in technology. He said that in the wake of this new dawn, we should embrace the new set of opportunities in technology and brace India’s tech game globally.
The government is planning to launch a five-year strategic plan to make India an outstanding player in the technology industry, stated the IT minister on Tuesday.
He also added that the ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) would associate with the personal sector in areas not solely confined to entreating enterprise for them nonetheless for subsequent skill development such as quantum computing, synthetic intelligence, cyber security and semiconductors in line with a formal declaration presented by the ministry.
According to the sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid down some evaluative schemes and intends to make India a significant participant within the tech industry. At a recent technology conference organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Minister Chandrasekhar stated that the authorities are on the verge of launching an elaborate strategic plan for five years aligned with perspective.
The project will comprise a detailed description of the competency and capabilities needed to be developed to achieve the goal.
He also discussed the massive progress in digitizing India’s economy and public services in the past six years, which has helped the country prevail over the tough times during the pandemic. He added that India has succeeded in creating two Unicorns a month, attracting $65 billion investment in the tech industry which is commendable.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar also emphasized that the post-Covid era offers a brand new set of alternatives and fresh opportunities, and there has not been an extra thrilling time for these in expertise than at this time by any means. He quoted from Prime Minister’s Independence day speech delivered from the Red Fort on August 15, 2021, “Yahi Samay Hai”, indicating this as the right time to highlight the opportunities offered by the technology sector.
When India, as compared to its competitors in the Technology sector, Rajeev Chandrasekhar commented that he does not think the velocity of the train we are clashing with should strain us as we are in a place from where we can upspring and move at a rate much faster than any other country.
He addressed the rapid digitization, the shift in the semiconductor sector from hardware fueled performance towards design in innovation for the upcoming generation of computing and communication. He also appreciated India’s in-depth technology competency both in the private and public sectors.Â
He reasserted the government’s viewpoint and mentioned that the authorities are willing to go an extra mile to pave a roadmap for India to emerge as a strong tech expert globally.
