Today, Kshama Bindu, the Gujarat lady, used her social media account to share photos of her haldi and mehndi ceremonies as a part of her wedding rituals. Post the wedding she posted a video on Facebook of herself showing gratitude to everyone who supported and encouraged her.
She said, “I would like to thank everyone who has messaged me and congratulated me and given me the power to fight for what I believed in”. The 24-year-old is the first to have ‘sologamy’ in India, she was a part of the headlines for the last few days due for the same reason.
She was set to marry on the twenty-fourth of June. Still, because of several politicians criticising her and calling her marriage another example of ‘wokeness’, another BJP leader accused her of being against the Hindu ritual and hence she would not be allowed to enter a temple in Gujarat. To avoid controversies, she preponed her wedding.
