There were many people trapped in the gurdwara.
Many gunfire and explosion sounds were heard today in the Gurdwara Karte Parwan. Two people were killed and seven more hurt in this attack. Many people were trapped in the gurdwara with gunmen.
A Taliban interior ministry spokesperson told the Reuters news agency that the attackers had laid a car filled with explosives, but it went off before reaching the target. He further added that the Taliban authorities are securing the premises. Members of this gurdwara said that they have been restricted to enter the premise or the building.
 Kabul police chief’s spokesman Khalid Zadran said that the police operation ended after the last gunmen were killed several hours later. He did not say how many attackers were involved in this attack.
What happened at the gurdwara?
30 people are said to have been present in the gurdwara according to Goram Singh. Don’t know how many of them were dead or alive. He also said that he heard gunshots and many blasts coming from the gurdwara. Footage showing heavy grey fumes around the area was broadcasted by Tolo, a local news channel.
Since taking authority Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers said that they have secured the country. However, international officials and analysts said that there is a potential danger of resurgence of violence. Two people were killed. The casualties include Ahmed, a security guard at the gurdwara and Sawinder Singh, 60 years old from Ghazni whose family resides in Delhi.
 Islamic State(IS) is believed to have taken out this attack. They have attacked many mosques and minorities over the last month. In march 2020, 25 worshippers including a child were killed by an Islamic gunman in a gurdwara in Kabul. He even threw Grenades into the crowd and fired an automatic rifle also.
India world forum president Puneet Singh Chandhoke told a news agency that the Gurdwara’s main prayer hall where Guru Granth Sahib is kept has been set on fire after the indiscriminate firing targeting the devotees. He also said that they have been urging the Indian government to issue e-visa to the Sikhs who have been stranded in Afghanistan since last year.
