The Patidar leader, Mr. Hardik Patel, became the youngest working president, at the age of 26, of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, the Indian National Congress state unit in Gujarat. Recently, on the 13th of April (Wednesday), he expressed his dissatisfaction and mentioned that he was not getting any attention from the party. Mr. Patel says, “My role in the party is that of a newlywed groom who has been forced to have a nasbandi (vasectomy).”
He likewise scrutinized Congress’s pace in accepting an approach by Khodaldham trust president and strong Patidar pioneer Naresh Patel, who is being courted by all parties in the state. “It has been two months and there has still been no decision. He said that “high command or local leadership should take a quick decision about Naresh Patel’s induction.”
If I am not invited to any of the meetings of the PCC, and they don’t consult me before making any decisions, then what is the point of this post? ” Mr. Patel said. Recently, they announced 75 new general secretaries and 25 new vice presidents. Did they even consult me? Do you think any strong leader is missing from the list? “
In the meantime, Gujarat Congress president Jagdish Thakor said that a meeting would be held with Hardik to comprehend his dissatisfaction and that the party was prepared to invite Naresh Patel. “The Congress is prepared to invite Naresh Patel. The ball is currently in Naresh Patel’s court. We had conversations with him in the past as well and asked him to attend the party. However, at last, the ultimate choice will be made by him alone, “he said.
In the end, Mr. Patel specified that his priority is to fight for the people of Gujarat, be it as a working president or just a Congress worker.
