At the seventh meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog, which took place today in New Delhi, the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, explained how Haryana has the highest per-capita income of any of the major states in the country. He urged the federal government to encourage natural farming practices across the country.
Assuring NITI Aayog of the state’s cooperation “in achieving the target of India becoming a $ 5 trillion economy,” Khattar stated that “the Haryana government under the able leadership of the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi is making every possible effort to realize the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and the state will usher in a new era of sustainable economic growth and equitable social and regional development.”
“Even though Haryana is a relatively small state, it has made a significant contribution to the economy of the country. Haryana has the highest per capita income of the major states in India, coming in at Rs 2,74,635. When it comes to the indicators of economic growth, Haryana is consistently ranked among the highest-performing states in the country. From 2015–2016 and continuing through 2020–21, the growth rate of the state has always been seen to be over 6 percent.
The growth rate for the manufacturing sector in Haryana is 10%, which is the highest rate in the country. Offices of 400 of the world’s most successful corporations have been established in Gurugram. In addition to this, Haryana is the state that exports the most software in the entire country. According to Khattar, Haryana holds the second-best position across the country and the first spot in North India for the provision of logistics facilities to various industries.
“The National Capital Region encompasses more than half of the state. We are working to establish the area as a logistic hub so that we can better support local businesses and the industrial sector. According to the most recent report on the States’ Relative Ease of Doing Business, Haryana has been placed in the category of top achievers. Haryana has been ranked third in the nation for its work in the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) sector, and it has been ranked among the top three states in the country for innovation according to the NITI Aayog Innovation Index, Khattar added.
