“He Wanted His Life To Be Celebrated And Not Mourned,” Dr. K.K Agarwal , Former President Of IMA Breathes Last Battling With Corona Virus


The 62 years former President of the Indian Medical association Dr. K.K Agarwal, passed away after a prolonged battle with covid-19May 17th at 11:30 PM. He was admitted to AIIMS several days ago and was on ventilator support. Even during the pandemic, he did not stop making efforts to the society. He reached a larger section of the society through various social media platforms making videos and posts on the educational programs of covid-19 and had spread protection and awareness among the people.

He did his secondary education from Delhi and completed MBBS from Nagpur University. He was proactive over social media and always uploaded various valuable posts and videos of him talking about different aspects of Covid-19. He was an eminent cardiologist by profession and the senior head of the Heart Care Foundation of India. He also received honors like the Dr. BC Roy Award in 2005 and Padma Shree in 2010 for his incredible social service.

His family, sadly, delivering the tribute, shared a note on Twitter, which mentions ever since Doctor K.K Agarwal became a doctor, he swore to dedicated his entire life to the welfare of the society and the people by various forms of health awareness and health care programs.
Even the pandemic could not stop him from making constant efforts. He kept on educating the masses and reached almost over 100 million people through various videos and educational program posts via social media and thus saved countless lives.

The note adds the main statement: he wanted his life to be celebrated and not mourned. His family members included that, in the spirit of spreading positivity that emerged from him in the direst of circumstances must be kept alive in each of us, let us remember him for his work and indomitable and courageous spirit.
