Health minister Mandaviya stressed vaccination, and surveillance amid the latest surge of covid 19 in the country. He focused on the precautions and measures required to prevent any future wave of covid.
Amid a swell in coronavirus cases being reported from some corridor of the country, Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday chaired a meeting with officers and experts and directed them to continue to concentrate on surveillance and whole-genome sequencing to identify possible variants and stressed on effective monitoring to assess the spread of the contagion in a timely manner.
Mandiviya, who chaired a meeting with crucial experts and members of NITI Aayog, advised the officers to rigorously concentrate on sections reporting high case positivity and take over acceptable testing( with an advanced proportion of RT- PCR). He also asked officers to cover hospitalisations due to Covid- 19, and SARI/ ILI cases.
The minister also appealed to countries and Union homes to increase the pace of vaccination, including supporter boluses, in sections reporting high cases.” As there’s acceptable vaccine boluses available, let there be no vaccine destruction, while fastening on accelerating vaccination among the eligible and vulnerable groups,” he said
New Cases on the rise
For the past many days, India has been witnessing a sharp jump in Covid cases. An aggregate of 10 countries– Maharashtra, Kerala, Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal and Gujarat– have over,000 active cases.
Kerala health minister Veena George told news agency ANI there’s no need to horrify about the borderline rise in Covid- 19 cases, adding the state health department is covering the situation. “ There is a slight rise in the number of Covid cases but no need to worry. No new variant is there, the current variant is Omicron. Sanitarium residency isn’t at each adding , the state health department covering the situation ”.
India reported 313 Covid cases in the last 24 hours- eight per cent more advanced than history and the first time daily new cases traduced the,000- mark since February 25. The country also reported 38 Covid- related deaths- up from 13 seen a day ago.
As the new and surging cases of covid 19 rises so does the tension.The Government is trying its best to vaccinate the mass and give out precautions and guidelines. The public needs to take the required measures and be safe, trying their best to eliminate any chances of the new wave.
