Laxmikant Kattimani was a hero for Hyderabad FC as they won their first Indian Super League(ISL) title by beating Kerala Blasters in a penalty shootout in the final here on Sunday.
There were two overtimes, and both teams were dead even. The match went to a shootout, and Hyderabad beat Kerala 3-1 after both teams missed. Only Ayush Adhikari scored for Hyderabad in the penalty shootout as Kerala lost for the third time in the finals.
During the shoot-out, Kattimani did a great job for Hyderabad, which won. He stopped the penalty kicks from Mark Leskovic, Nishu Kumar, and Jeakson Singh, so they didn’t get put in.
Narzary’s penalty kick sent Kerala goalkeeper Prabhsukhan Gill the wrong way, and the Hyderabad dugout erupted with joy. It was heartbreaking for the Kerala fans, who had come back to the stadium to see an ISL match for the first time in two years.
After Rahul KP’s goal in the 68th minute, Sahil Tavora scored a spectacular goal in the last minute to make it 1-1 for Sahil Tavora. In the 68th minute, Rahul scored a spectacular right-footed shot from outside of the box to break the deadlock. There was not much to separate the two teams until that point.
This is how it went down: Rahul ran right up to the goal and hit a blinder of a shot, which goalkeeper Kattimani could only help stop. Kerala must have thought they were going to win their first ISL title, but Tavora broke their hearts when he scored a stunning right-footed volley from the edge of the box with two minutes to go.
There was no winner in extra time, so the game had to go to a penalty shootout. Midfielder Souvik Chakrabarti shot early in the game for Hyderabad, but goalkeeper Prabhsukhan Singh Gill was up to the task of stopping it.
14: Harmanjot Khabra crossed for striker Jorge Diaz, who was free inside the box. The Argentina couldn’t connect with it.
During the 23rd minute, Alvaro Vazquez got the ball on the left side and passed it to Lalthathanga Khawlhring. The Hyderabad defenders did well not to let the ball get behind their back lines.
Luna, the captain of Kerala, tried to dip a shot from outside the box in the 30th minute, but Laximikanth Kattimani, the goalkeeper for the other team, caught it easily.
Javier Sivero, who came in for Joel Chianese, had a great chance to score from a free-kick, but Gill made a great save. Thounaojam Jeakson then cleared the ball for a corner, even though both teams were level at half-time.
After the change of ends, Hyderabad started on the front foot and had a couple of chances in quick succession. Afterwards, Hyderabad was on the front foot and had a few chances quickly.
According to the report Juanan said
“People on the team are very happy because they won a big game. I’m very excited. Nobody thought this team would make it into the top four, but now we’ve won the league “In this case, I would say: Akash Mishra added even more “It’s so good. I can’t describe how I feel right now. It’s the best time of my life.”
Meanwhile Joao Victor said “I think it was a good match to watch. Kerala is a very good opponent but we deserve this win. Last year, we came close but we are happy to win the title this year. The feeling of winning the final in front of the fans is amazing.”
It was Sahil Tavora’s goal to win, and he is happy for the whole team because he scored a great goal and we came back into the match.
So, Joao Victor also said that “A good game to watch. Kerala is a very good opponent, but we deserve to win this game because we worked very hard to get ready for this game. In the past, we came close to taking the title.
However, we’re very happy to win this year. When you win the final in front of the fans, it’s a great thing to happen.” said: Laxmikant Kattimani said that was true. You can’t give any credit to anyone else, but Manolo. Always, he told us to play tight, and now we’ve won the ISL title.
