Imran Khan’s party PTI has won 25 out of 45 seats in Pakistan occupied Kashmir’s (POK) assembly elections amid allegations of rigging of elections by the opposition, leading to deadly violence. PTI has won 25 seats in the assembly election on Sunday.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has been accused by the main opposition Pakistan Muslim League (N) of rigging the elections in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK). The country’s top opposition party, PML-N, is considering going to court against this verdict Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. Media reports that the Pakistan Muslim League (N) has accused Prime Minister Imran Khan’s PTI government of using its machinery to rig the elections.
Imran Khan’s party is all set to form government in POK:
Imran Khan’s party PTI has won 25 out of 45 seats in the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) assembly elections amid allegations of rigging of elections by the opposition, including deadly violence. PTI has won 25 seats in the assembly election on Sunday. It was followed by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) winning 11 seats, PML-N won six, and two regional political parties won one each.
PMLN’s reaction to PTI’s victory in POK:
Pakistan Muslim League (N) Vice President Mariyam Nawaz stated in her tweet that she neither accepted this Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) election results and will not accept this fake government. She also said that PML-N will soon announce a strategy on this shameful rigging in the Ghulam Kashmir (PoK) elections.
Pakistan Muslim League (N) Punjab Information Secretary Azma Bukhari hit out at Imran Khan, saying July 25 will be remembered as a day of rigging by vote thieves in the country.
In addition, she said, “the Buzdar administration send police, polling agents, teachers and other staff to POK from Punjab to ensure rigging in the polls.”
She also alleged that nine seats in Punjab were also rigged by the Punjab administration, which utilised its apparatus to manipulate the vote.
She also attacks Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, who was in the run for the office of POK prime minister, by alleging that he was involved in the rigging. She said, “we wonder how the state functionaries have become personal servants of someone,” and warned the people of PoK that the PTI government would make their lives miserable.
The PML-N lawmakers also said that the party is considering going to court and protesting to challenge the rigging.
