On April 21, addressing her audience at the Bengal Global Business Summit, Mamata Banerjee requested the industrialists present to invest more in Bengal.
The event of BGBS saw a grand attendance of participants from at least 40 countries, with over 4,000 people in the audience. A count of 500 international delegates was also part of the total participants.
Chief Minister’s Request
Mamata Banerjee, in her very candid valedictory speech, declared the higher employer rate in Bengal. She credited the success of providing 40% more employment compared to India as a whole to the MSME sector.
Due to its 500 interconnected industries and 200 industrial areas, the MSME sector employs almost 1.5 million people.
The Chief Minister of Bengal also placed an emphasis on infrastructural developments and cultural heritage. Using these recent developments, she asked the industrialists who were present to have faith and invest more in Bengal.
She reassured the industrialists by stating Bengal’s concept of always keeping faith and sharing their growth and prosperity with them. In the speech, she also talked about her plan to make Bengal an investment growth hub connected to the world in the future.

The Bengal Global Business Summit is a platform used for foraging alliances to expand businesses and explore business opportunities. This event will encourage industrialists, both Indian and foreign, to invest more in Bengal.
It is also ideal for developing practical business policies and pushing Bengal onto the top of India’s investment ladder in the world.
