Windies Batsman Kyle Mayers then took the responsibility to bat and crushed seven boundaries in his 24-ball innings. Leg Spinner Ravi Bishnoi was the star of the game.
Then India took a respite to the wicket-attendant batsman Nicholas Pooran when he hit Yuzvendra Chahal a conveyance straight out; Bishnoi got it yet ventured onto the limit pads with the ball in the hands.
Ravi Bishnoi became the first India U-19 batch of 2020 to play with senior players. Bishnoi made his debut at 21 and impressed everyone with his turns. However, he conceded a few runs in the opening over, after what he did stunned everyone.
He dismissed Roston Chase and Rovman Powell in the same over and ended his part with the figures of 2 for 14, which is third-best by an Indian Spinner on his T20I debut. The WI wicketkeeper-batsman played his luck against India at the Eden Gardens.
For West Indies, batsman Bishnoi came as a destruction thread. Roston Chase came in as a replacement to Jason Holder and played an exceptional spell. Chase Provided Windies what they wanted, and he picked the wickets of Rohit Sharma, who was batting at 40, and Ishan Kishan, who was batting at 35, to slow the Indian batting pace.
Making the most out of it, Pooran smashed his 9th T20I fifty and ended up scoring 61 off 43 balls, with four boundaries and five sixes. The Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma came out to bat with Ishant Kishan.
He started a good run with his bat and scored 64- run opening partnership with Ishan Kishan. Rohit was batting on 40 while hitting a boundary to Roston Chase but was caught by Odean Smith at the edge.
After the top 3 batsmen went back, Suryakumar Yadav took the command and made sure he ended the game. He smashed five boundaries and a six and was returned unbeaten, scoring 34 runs for India.
The right-handed batsman played 18 balls, scoring 34 runs, and made sure to defeat West Indies by six wickets. After the game, he confronted that he was comfortable batting at any position.
For the west Indies, Nikolas Pooran played a fantastic knock. His fifty gave them to bowl about something. Chase worked well with his off-spin and claimed big wickets of Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan.
