On Thursday, Nepal hosted one of the first global friendly football matches for their home team and the Indian team at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu. The match concluded with a 1-1 draw between the two country teams.

Highlights of the Football Match
In the first half of the football match, Nepal took the forefront when, in the 36th minute of the game Anjan Bista from the Nepali team scored a goal. He took advantage of the fact that there was a hint of deviation between the India goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and defender Chinglensana Singh Konsham.
After capitalising in the first half, the Nepali team played with great ambition while the Indian squad surpassed the match with great intense observation. After their renewal, the Indian team steadfast into a more robust and persistent team strength.
And gained an equalisation in the 60th minute when captain Sunil Chhetri scored a shot from 25 yards that could only be ejected into the six-yard net goal by the Nepal goalkeeper Kiran Lumbu.
Taking this opportunity, Anirudh Thapa clanked a goal even before the Nepali team could perceive what happened.
In the concluding minutes, the host country got numerous chances to make a winning shot, but the Indian team played an intense game of defence and made it difficult for them to formulate the winning points. The coercive reason was played without Sandesh Jhingan as he was injured.
Few players of the Nepali team like Anjan, keeper Kiram and Suman Aryal got the yellow card.
Indian players like Anirudh and Sahal Abdul Samad played in the midfield, while Indian team players like Seriton Fernandes and Rahim Ali made their senior Indian debuts.
According to the sources, the two countries teams of India and Nepal are scheduled to meet again on Sunday, September 5, for a second International friendly match at the same venue streaming live on the Indian Football Team Facebook page.
