The AIFF announced the Indian Football Team for the upcoming joint 2022 World-Cup Qualifiers and 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers. The 28-man Probable Squad will play their remaining qualifiers matches in Doha, Qatar.
Blue Tigers are scheduled to play Asian Champions Qatar on June 3, Bangladesh on June 7, and Afghanistan on June 15, with all three matches to be played at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Doha.
The Team will have a preliminary camp in a bio-bubble in Doha before their first match on June 3 against hosts Qatar.
Sunil Chhetri makes comeback in Indian Football Team
Talismanic captain Sunil Chettri makes his comeback to Indian National Squad after recovering from the Covid-19 infection. He missed out on the international friendlies against Oman and UAE.

Glan Martins has earned a maiden call-up to the Indian football team after consistently playing with FC Goa in the Indian Super League (ISL) and AFC Champions League (ACL).
India will be looking to finish third to secure a place in the third group stage of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualification. Finishing 4th or 5th will put India into the AFC Asian Cup 2023 qualification play-offs.
