Indiana, US- 31 bodies found in a funeral house

At least 31 bodies were discovered by police In a funeral house in Indiana, US. Most of the bodies were badly decomposing.

In a shocking event, there has been a discovery of 31 dead bodies inside an Indiana funeral home on Friday. The incident in which bodies of 31 people in Lankford Funeral Home were in a severe decomposing state. They were spot by police on 1st July. The police are in talk with the owner of the funeral house as well as said  the investigation is ongoing. The owner is not responding. 

This incident has been shocking for the residents of Louisville suburbs in Jeffersonville, Indiana. 

The police major, Issac Parker told the media that they got a call complaining about a strong foul odor from the building. The call was done by the neighboring people of the Funeral home. He further said that the officers had to enter the crime scene wearing hazmat gear as the odor was so bad. According to the major, the bodies have been in the home since march. They further found the cremated remains of 16 people.

Parker said it was an unpleasant scene and the conditions were not good. When examining the site, the officers found bodies in advanced stages of decomposition. He also informed that the bodies have not touch since the last three months. The investigators have taken the victim’s bodies to the Clark County Coroner’s Office for identification as well as appealed to people to help them find the victim’s identity.

A woman, when talking to the media, informed that she sent her brother’s corpse to the Indiana funeral home in April to cremate and also said she is still waiting for his remains. She further said she reached out to the funeral director and he responded that he is dealing with a lot now. 

In another incident last week, security agencies found bodies of 49 men and women who are said to be undocumented immigrants were recovered from a tractor trailer in San Antonio, Texas. This is a shocking number of the deceased illegal immigrants. This marks one of the deadliest human- smuggling cases in the history of us in the migration of migrants. 

The investigation of dead bodies in Indiana Funeral Home is undergoing and the team said they will inform as soon as they get more information.
