What is air pollution?
In the air, many substances are present, which is harmful to human health and other living organisms. This air pollution also damages our climate because there are many toxic gases like Carbon dioxide, methane, sulfur dioxide, and many more.
Earlier, there were many trees, so the air was efficiently filtered, but now the air pollution increases day by day because of deforestation. Deforestation is a massive problem for everyone.
Causes Of Poor Air Quality
The pollution level is high, primarily from November to February. But sometimes it is hard to control and solve the problem of air pollution. The most significant cause from vehicles, industrial waste, thermal power plants, construction work, waste burners, agriculture waste, and home chimneys.
When you are in some villages places you saw that many peoples are using fossil fuels, fuel, and firewood for cooking. The farmers also just stubble burning. They can also dump these types of things in the ground. All these things are the reasons volcanic eruptions are increasing.
Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh is the most polluted city for air pollution, and Delhi is in second number in air pollution. A total of one hundred thirty-two cities are polluted During covid-19 pandemic lockdown in India. The air and water quality improved as the industry and weak places closed.
Green House Effect
A greenhouse also affects the cause of air pollution because there are many gases in the air, so these gases are involved in the greenhouse. It increases the temperature of the earth’s surface so much that polar caps are melting, and most of the ultraviolet rays quickly penetrate the earth’s surface.
What are the air pollutions effects on health?
When air is more polluted, it increases the risk factor for everyone. Still, it is hazardous for people who already have severe diseases like heart disease, lung cancer, breathing disease, stroke, skin, and respiratory disorders.
Ways To Reduce Air Pollution-
- Reforestation – We can grow many more and more trees to improve air quality
- Policy for the industry – To minimize the toxins released from factories and industries
- Use eco-friendly fuel – LPG {Liquefied Petroleum Gas}
