As monsoon hits the different parts of the country, the usage of diesel is reduced, resulting in a lower sale of fuel.
The major industry which relies on diesel is agriculture. Due to the monsoon onset, the agricultural sector is restricted as mobility to access farms and fields is limited.
The diesel demand in the country dropped from 11.2% on August 1st, 2022, to August 15th, 2022. Petrol demand in India s flat the demand for diesel is lower from July to September compared to April to June.
