India’s global standing improves:
Asserting that India’s global standing has improved over the past eight years since the NDA Government came to power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that international organisation’s, have begun to accept that poverty is reducing in India.
Modi also underlined security and integrity as the key markers that differentiate his government from the previous regime, and said that the country’s borders are more secure than before and the talk now is about ease of doing business instead of corruption.
GaribKalyan Sammelan:
He was speaking at the “Garib Kalyan Sammelan” at Shimla’s Ridge Maidaan, where he interacted with a group of beneficiaries of Central schemes from across the country and released Rs.21000 crore in bank accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.
“I Remember when I used to come to you before 2014, I used to say that India would talk to the world eye to eye.Today India does not extend a hand of friendship in compulsion but extends a helping hand. Even during the Corona period, we sent medicines and vaccines to more than 150 countries…India has proved that we have potential too; and we are also performers. International organizations are also accepting that poverty is reducing in India and the facilities are increasing for people,” Modi said.
On national security, the Prime Minister pointed to the cross border strike on terrorist launchpads in 2016 and the Balakot air mission. “Before 2014 there was concern regarding the security of the country. Today there is pride in the surgical strike, the air strike. Our borders are more secure than before,” he said.
Benefits of government schemes:
Targeting the UPA government from 2004 to 2014, Modi said. “Before 2014 , there were headlines in the newspapers….debates were taking place on TV channels regarding loot corruption and scams. But now time has changed. Now te talk is about benefit of government schemes. The World Bank too, talks about ease of doing business in India.The previous government thrived on corruption, instead of fighting it.The money for schemes was looted.
While listing the “changes” in a 40 minute speech the Prime Minister also touched upon the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage ) Act, 2019, and said “earlier there was fear of triple talaq, but now there is courage to fight for one’s rights.”
Noting the contributions of every family of Himachal Pradedh to the armed forces, Modi said. “It is this government that implemented ,”One rank One Pension” after wait of four decades and gave arrears to ex servicemen. We are working to build a new India, not a vote bank.
Modi speaks on Jan dhan, Aadhar and Mobile schemes:
Describing the trinity of Jan dhan, Aadhar and Mobile as “JAM”, Modi said money from central schemes is directly reaching the beneficiaries account. We have taken the initiative to deliver 100% benefits to 100% beneficiaries. The government has taken a pledge for reaching the saturation of beneficiaries.
100% empowerment for India’s:
100% empowerment means ending discrimination, eliminating recommendations and ending appeasement, every poor person gets the full benefits of government schemes”. He said.
Today people get a facility to get LPG cylinders from the Ujjwala scheme. Earler there was helplessness to suffer from smoke.”Today the poor have the dignity of toilets. Now the poor have the scheme of Ayushman Bharat for treatment”.
Conclusion:
Striking a personal note the Prime Minister said, “I don’t consider myself as the PM. Iam a member of the family of 130 crore people of India, The family of 130 crore people is everything for me, and this life is too only dedicated for you,” he ended.
