Points Table for the IPL 2022

Last season, the Delhi Capitals finished first in the IPL 2022 point standings, with eventual winners the Chennai Super Kings coming in second.

In the IPL points table, Royal Challengers Bangalore placed third, while in the IPL finals, Kolkata Knight Riders finished fourth.

With the advent of two new teams in IPL 2022, the competition for IPL 2022 points will be tough.

SunRisers Hyderabad finished last in the IPL rankings after winning only three games all season.

They will undoubtedly be expecting a turnaround in fortunes and will try to finish considerably higher on the IPL points table.

Last season’s Orange Cap winner, Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was retained by CSK, will be hoping to recreate his successes,

While Virat Kohli,

who now bears the weight of leadership, will be eager to reclaim the Orange Cap, which he last won in the IPL in 2016.

Harshal Patel of the Royal Challengers Bangalore was the surprise package in the fight for the Purple Cap, finally winning it with a massive 32 wickets.

Avesh Khan, a fast bowler for the Delhi Capitals, finished second in the Purple Cap race with 24 wickets.

He will, however, be seen in different colors after the Delhi Capitals were unable to acquire him for the team.

Instead, his new team, Lucknow Super Giants, lavished cash on him, hoping he could replicate his IPL 2021 performance and achievements.

The top 10 in the Purple Cap race was dominated by Indian bowlers, with only Rashid Khan and Jason Holder representing international players.

With so many new faces and players joining new teams, the fight for the Purple Cap is set to be intense.

The IPL 2022 will be contested in a revolutionary style, with teams separated into two groups.

The playoffs will be held for the top four clubs in the IPL points table.
