BCCI on Sunday declared the timetable for IPL 2022. The competition will begin on March 26, 2022. Reigning champs Chennai Super Kings will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the initial round of IPL 2022. On Day 2 for example 27th March, doubleheader matches will be played. Delhi Capitals versus Mumbai Indias will be the first match while Punjab Kings versus Royal Challengers Bangalore will be the second match.Ā
The competition will close with the last on May 29. IPL 2022 will observe a fight among 10 groups. Two new groups Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans have been added to the competition. Last month, IPL closeout 2022 occurred where an aggregate of 204 players was picked by the 10 establishments.Ā
The full timetable for the competition was declared by BCCI on Sunday (March 6). The finalists of last season-Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders-will conflict in the initial match on March 26. The scene of the conflict is Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. A sum of 74 games will be played during IPL 2022.Ā
Ā Two virtual gatherings have been arranged by BCCI for IPL 2022. In bunch A, there are groups like Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants. Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans are important for bunch B.Ā
Each group will play 2 matches against the groups of their gathering and the group on a similar spot on the contrary gathering. They will play one match against different groups of the contrary gathering. Thus, every group will play an aggregate of 14 matches during the association stage.Ā
The scene of the IPL 2022 in Maharashtra. All the matches will be played across 4 arenas in Mumbai and Pune. Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, and DY Patil Stadium are the three settings in Mumbai. MCA Stadium in Pune is the fourth setting. This has been done to confine the flight goes of players.
